A.I.A.C.E (Associazione Italiana Amici del Cinema d’Essai – Italian Association of Arthouse Cinema) was founded in Italy in 1962, inspired by the French Cinémas d’Art et d’Essai with the institutional objectives to promote and spread quality cinema, support Arthouse Cinema programming, permanent training of the audience through the organization of film events, courses, festival, meetings with the authors, cooperation with schools of all levels for visual education addressed to teachers and students.
In 2020 Alessia Gasparella, with her vast experience in festivals all around Europe and her intention to share her knowledge and build something to take her back to her roots, brings together a varied group of young cinema lovers and starts A.I.A.C.E Valle d’Aosta. The founding members, all with diverse origins and expertises, join forces to give a cosmopolitan and contemporary dimension to their events, through several partnerships and collaborations with festivals and associations from all over the world.
